PIERCINGS
For those of you who know me you must know that I have 12 piercings by now-and you know where too! I'm hoping to be added to the link at the bottom (part of the webring) so you guys can learn more about piercings.

Favorite food: Won't Go There My Hobbies I love writing poems, and reading. I listen to music all the time, if not the stereo then I have my discman or walkman. I also love going to the gym 
Most Admired My mom, friends MY PIERCING STORY:
I got my first piercings (ears) done about 4 years ago. Two weeks later or so I got my nose done...from then on, piercing was almost an addiction to me for bit. I got my upper cartilege done in my ear, then I got my eyebrow done, then my tongue a few months later (X-mas gift from my sister in law-awesome gift!) It was then a short time before I got my next piercing-my navel, the nipples came a few weeks after. Just had to have a few more holes, so I got another set in my ears, and the last one to date (about a year ago) is my lip. I want a few more piercings, and will probably get them in a few weeks. My fave piercings are my nipples, although the tongue is pretty good too:) Actually, who am I kidding, I love them all! :)
I personally recommend giving it a try if it's on your mind!

THINKING OF GETTING PIERCED? Here Is Some Info. On Different Piercings:
NOSE
There are 2 ways to get this done; the ear-piercing gun or a needle. Although I got mine done with the gun, and had no difficulties, there are several reasons why the needle is better. Apparently, with the gun infections are more likely to occur. It is also harder to find the proper placement using the gun, so the stud may not be in a position you're happy with. Using a needle produces a very quick, sharp pain. The piercer has a better chance of piercing you in a spot you're happy with.
Healing
AFTERCARE
It is recommended to NOT use peroxide, Betadine, alcohol swabs or alcohol based cleaners on the piercing. Don't use creams or ointment either. A few good suggestions to USE are lavender oil (Essential Oil) and sea salt
Do's And Don'ts

Do clean the piercing at least twice a day

Do remove any crust that has formed on the inside of the piercing (Do this before you turn it, or you may damage the piercing

Do pat dry your face instead of rubbing-by rubbing you can dislodge the piercing

Don't remove the stud before fully healed, doing so can cause infection and delay healing
-
Don't remove the jewellry from the nose for the first 6 months for more than a day, or it could close up
-
Don't apply make-up, cleansers, etc. directly on the piercing
EYEBROW
Healing
-
Generally takes 5-6 weeks to heal-although it could take longer
-
The better you care for the piercing the faster it will heal and the least amount of complications will occur

Eyebrow piercings are prone to infections due to the dirt that gets into the piercing and movement
-
If infection occurs return to piercer to let them look at it or your doctor
-
If infection gets really bad and antibiotics do not help, you'll have no choice but to remove eyebrow ring
AFTERCARE
After care is very similar to that for the nose piercing except you may use Triclosan based antibacterial solutions.
Do's and Don'ts

Do wash piercing with anti bacterial soap once daily
-
Do use 1/2 tsp. of sea-salt in a 1/4 cup of boiling water, then soak a piece of paper towel in the solution and apply to piercing for 1 min. Do this once or twice a day

Do use a new soft toothbrush to remove crust and run it under very hot water after cleaning piercing (do not use this toothbrush for anything else)

Do pat face dry

Do use lavender oil
-
Do leave jewellry in for 6 months
-
Do try to sleep on the side opposite the piercing
-
Don't remove and re-insert the jewellry, this can hamper with healing and lead to infections
